easyMarkets gives clients access to over 200 markets such as forex, indices, shares, agriculture commodities, energies, metals, cryptocurrencies and vanilla options. You have the ability to trade these assets in many different ways such as day trading, forwards, pending orders, options and the broker’s proprietary trading method, easyTrade.
The broker boasts over 142,000 traders around the world. It should be noted, however, that they currently do not accept traders from the US among other countries. Our reviewers were impressed to find that, in the 2019 Forex Expo held in Dubai, easyMarkets won the prestigious ‘Best Forex Broker’ award.
EasyMarkets regulation and licensing
easyMarkets is authorized and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). These are two of the most prestigious and stringent regulatory bodies in the world, so you can rest assured your funds are always protected.
To comply with regulations, EasyMarkets keeps all client funds in segregated bank accounts with top-rated banks. The broker cannot trade with your funds, nor can they use them for operating costs.
Our easyMarkets forex broker review also found that the broker provides a digitally secured trading environment to ensure that traders are protected from internet fraudsters.
easyMarkets offers international clients three main account types to choose from, whilst EU clients can opt for only the VIP account. The VIP account for European traders has maximum leverage 1:30, due to regulation. For international clients, each account type is based around spreads, transaction sizes, and the amount of funds at the trader’s disposal. All accounts come with a maximum leverage of 1:400 for international traders.
The Standard Account can be opened with just $100. The fixed spread for the popular EUR/USD currency pair starts at just 1.9 pips, and the account allows for nano-lot trading.
The Premium account has a minimum deposit limit of $2,000, and it offers EUR/USD spreads starting from 1.4 pips. With this account, you can also trade nano-lots when using MetaTrader 4, or micro-lots when using the broker’s proprietary platform.
The VIP account is opened with a minimum deposit of $10,000 and the EUR/USD spreads start from 0.9 pips.
Our review team found that the broker also offers a demo account which comes preloaded with $10,000 of virtual funds and swap-free Islamic accounts are available on request.
EasyMarkets trading costs
easyMarkets describes itself as an honest broker that has nothing to hide. All fees are displayed clearly on the site, although you’ll find that there aren’t many to consider anyway.
easyMarkets does not charge a commission on trades, nor do they impose transaction fees on deposits and withdrawals. There’s also no account or inactivity fees to pay, although rollover fees are charged on accounts that maintain open positions overnight.
EasyMarkets payment methods
Our review team found that easyMarkets offers you a wide variety of payment methods to choose from. You needn’t worry about security when making payments either, as all transactions are made via SSL encrypted connections.
The broker accepts credit/debit card payments made via Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, JCB, and AstroPay. Card deposits are instant whilst withdrawals take up to 5 days.
Accepted online banking solutions include SOFORT, GiroPay, iDEAL BPay, and local transfers. Generally, deposits made via these methods are processed within 24 hours, except for local transfers which may take longer.
You can also use e-wallets such as Neteller, WebMoney, Skrill, and Fasapay. This is by far the quickest option, as these methods allow for both instant deposits and withdrawals. Conversely, bank transfers are the slowest option, taking up to 10 days. Withdrawals made via bank transfer are also subject to a $50 minimum withdrawal limit.
EasyMarkets trading bonuses
easyMarkets offers you a host of different rewards, depending on your location. Clients outside of the EU can start off with a welcome bonus, which is available when you make your first deposit with the broker. You may also be able to take advantage of discounted swap-fees during your first two months as a client.
During our review of EasyMarkets, we also found that non-EU traders can benefit from a refer-a-friend scheme. This scheme rewards clients who introduce their friends and acquaintances to the easyMarkets platform, giving the referrer a bonus when their friend registers for a live account and makes a deposit.
EasyMarkets trading platforms
The easyMarkets website is easy to navigate and intuitive. All the information you need can be found with ease, and this is all presented in a clear, accessible way.
Registration is also quick. You can sign up to the site, deposit and commence live trading in a matter of minutes. To make this even more straightforward, you can also choose to register via Facebook or Google.
easyMarkets offers two trading platforms, MetaTrader 4 and their own web platform.
The easyMarkets web platform is integrated with user accounts and so deposits and withdrawals can be made from within the trading platform. It features over 80 indicators and drawing tools, which are important for technical analysis, as well as a financial calendar and news updates for fundamental analysis. The platform also provides innovative tools like deal cancellation, Freeze rate, and easyTrade.
Whilst the broker’s proprietary platform Is impressive, our review team was also glad that easyMarkets offers MetaTrader 4. This is because MT 4 is the world’s most popular trading platform, and so many traders may feel more comfortable using it.
MetaTrader 4 has multiple tools for charting and analysis, and you can enhance its capabilities with plugin extensions. It also allows for the use of expert advisors (EAs), scalping and hedging.
The easyMarkets website is fully mobile compatible. This means that you can register with the broker, make deposits, and contact customer services whenever, and wherever, suits you.
Both the easyMarkets web platform and MetaTrader 4 have mobile apps for iOS and Android devices. These apps are straightforward and quick to load, and allow you to open, close, monitor and modify trades whilst on the move. You can also carry out analysis and charting.
Education and training
During our review of easyMarkets, we explored the broker’s Learn Centre. This is full of free educational materials for novice traders, including over 15 training videos, 10 downloadable eBooks and a glossary of trading terminologies.
The materials cover the basics of trading, including trader psychology and technical analysis. The videos are extremely engaging, and everything is presented in an easy-to-follow way. We think that beginner traders will find these training resources very helpful.
EasyMarkets customer support
Should you have an issue or a query at easyMarkets, you can contact customer service via live chat, email, web form, phone, and social media. All these services are open 24/5, and support is available in several languages.
