ADS Securities review

This broker was not featured in our 2024 Broker Review Audit. This is because, in the past 12 months, it has failed to pass our initial screening process and is not recommended by our team of experts. As such some of the information found here may be out of date.

We review all brokers to a strict and unique methodology, to ensure that we only promote high quality brands that you can trust. This methodology considers over 200 criteria points, covering the categories of safety, fees, platforms, products, payments and customer support. All brokers are then given a score out of 100. We update this methodology and our recommended reviews yearly, so that you’re only given up to date information.

If a broker has a score less than 80, like this one, we won’t recommend it to you. So that we don’t waste your time, we don’t update these reviews either. We know you don’t want to read a long review of an untrustworthy broker. Instead, you can use the tool below to find a high-scoring broker that accepts clients from your country.

ADS Securities is a relatively new Forex broker that originated in the UAE during 2011. However, unlike other new brokers that usually start off with a small brokerage capital and conservative market strategies, ADS Securities entered the market with an estimated market cap of over $400 Million. Therefore, ADS Securities can be considered as a serious market participant that is dedicated to establishing itself as a recognized mainstream FX broker.

Broker Location & Is ADS Securities Regulated?

ADS Securities London Limited is the UK division of the global financial services firm ADS Securities, which was formed in the year 2014. The parent company is situated in Abu Dhabi, UAE that caters to both retail as well as institutional investors in the global market. ADS Securities is a member of the Central Bank of UAE and is regulated by the FCA in the UK to offer regulated FX brokerage services to clients all over the world. The company has also opened an office in Hong Kong by being regulated under the SFC guidelines, which offers enhanced protection for customers looking for a broker that is regulated by multiple regulatory agencies.
ADS Securities claim that they entertain clients from all over the world, including North America, but it is not clear about the company’s policy when it comes to accepting US traders. Since ADS Securities is not regulated by the NFA, US traders are not legally allowed to open an account or trade using their brokerage services. It does seem that ADS Securities has the resources and the capability to set up a brokerage in the US, and we expect the company to start legally accepting clients from the US shortly.

How Convenient Is The ADS Securities Account Opening Process?

ads-securities homeADS Securities makes it easy for all traders to open an account with the company by making a small initial deposit of £200. Unlike other mainstream brokers that follow the system of associating account types according to the original deposit amount, ADS Securities aims to simplify the entire process by offering access to all kinds of trading products using a single account. Clients benefit significantly from this strategy as this will allow customers to choose their desired type of account freely, without having to deposit more money to enjoy the benefits of a higher account.
ADS Securities primarily offers three types of accounts; the Standard Forex Account, the Spread Betting Account, and the ECN Account. The Standard Forex account and the Spread Betting account are based on the market maker model that allows a trader to invest in a wide variety of financial instruments. These accounts can be used to trade FX, equities, CFDs, commodities, and bonds, and all different assets are available on a single trading platform. The trading conditions are also similar for both account types, the only significant difference being that spread betting is tax-free for residents of the UK. The ECN account is more oriented towards FX and CFD trading that does not include other assets such as equities or indices. ECN accounts are also broadly similar to other ECN accounts available in the market and work on an entirely no-dealing desk model.

How About The ADS Securities Leverage & Spreads?

Both the Standard and ECN accounts offer a maximum leverage of 1:500, which is excellent news for traders looking for a broker with high leverage. The company has an enormous amount of capital vested in the market; therefore, they do have the capability to honor all client agreements under current market conditions, without having to take a trade against their clients to make money.
ADS Securities spreads also range from 0.8 pips to 3 pips on average, which further dips down to 0 pips for the ECN account. While the company assures the tightest spreads during most trading conditions, clients have reported experiencing wide spreads and huge price slippages without warning. It is common for brokers to experience wide gaps during high-volatile events, but ADS Securities accounts are prone to some excessive price variations without any sufficient cause. The company needs to address such issues and employ specific remedies to eradicate such problems if they plan on maintaining a good reputation in the market.

Is The ADS Securities Customer Service Friendly & Responsive?

ADS Securities clients can contact the company representatives through live chat, emails, or direct phone calls. Almost all queries are answered within a day, but complaint resolutions can take up to two weeks for a final verdict. FCA stipulates that all customer complaints should be addressed to in a competent manner, but the company specifically states that it will require at least two whole weeks before they can address to client complaints. While this can be a tense period for traders who have a genuine problem, the company should make it a priority to address all complaints within the shortest period without inconveniencing their clients.

Incentives For Opening An Account

ads-securities investmentThere is no current ADS Securities bonus available for clients on making a deposit or for opening an account. The broker does introduce promotional offers during certain seasons; therefore, if you are interested in receiving a bonus, you should keep in touch with their customer service department for seasonal promos.

The Basic ADS Securities Platforms Offered By The Broker

ADS Securities offers the MT4 platform for all types of accounts, and as a bonus, they also offer an MT4 Plus add-on that provides even more charting capabilities and additional functionalities. Traders are provided access to Autochartist, which offers an excellent way of understanding technical chart patterns and reacting to market conditions in a proactive manner. Traders using automated trading strategies can also make use of the broker’s Algo Builder, which allows traders to create an EA without any programming knowledge.
ADS Securities mobile platforms are restricted to the MT4 platforms available for the iOS and Android devices, which should be more than sufficient for most trading requirements. The company has not invested any resources into developing a proprietary trading platform either for the desktop or mobile platform, but the MT4 Plus add-on should be a real incentive for traders to customize their trading platform. Overall, ADS Securities seems to be a reliable broker that adheres to a strict code of conduct for offering world-class brokerage services for the average FX trader.
